Product Description

Mechanism of Action

Furacilin (nitrofurazonetype nitrofuran) is a nitrofuran antimicrobial that undergoes enzymatic reduction of its nitro group within bacterial cells, generating reactive intermediates that attack DNA, proteins and other macromolecules. This multitarget damage leads to inhibition of replication and cell death.

Benefits and Advantages

Used in topical antimicrobial research, nitrofuran redoxcycling studies, DNAdamage assays and woundcare formulation development.

Side Effects and Risks

Risks include contact dermatitis, local irritation, rare systemic hypersensitivity and potential mutagenicity with chronic exposure. Handle with nitrofuranclass safety measures.

Only GMP materials will be supplied, logistics all according to GDP.
