Product Description

Mechanism of Action

Furadroxyl is a nitrofuran derivative with broad antimicrobial activity. It is bioreduced by bacterial nitroreductases to generate reactive nitroso and hydroxylamine species that interact with DNA and essential enzymes, disrupting replication and metabolic pathways.

Benefits and Advantages

Used in nitrofuran mechanism research, bacterial redoxenzyme studies, DNAdamage signalling assays and antimicrobialresistance investigations.

Side Effects and Risks

Potential mutagenicity, GI upset, hypersensitivity reactions and, at high exposure, systemic toxicity. Handle with nitrofuranantimicrobial precautions and appropriate protective equipment.

Only GMP materials will be supplied, logistics all according to GDP.
