Mechanism of Action
Etoposide is a topoisomerase II inhibitor that stabilizes the DNAtopoisomerase II cleavage complex, leading to doublestrand DNA breaks and apoptosis in rapidly dividing cells. It is semisynthetic, derived from podophyllotoxin.

Side Effects and Risks
