Mechanism of Action
Doravirine is a nextgeneration nonnucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NNRTI) that binds a hydrophobic allosteric pocket on HIV1 reverse transcriptase. This induces conformational changes that prevent DNA polymerization and viral replication. Its structure confers activity against common NNRTIresistance mutations such as K103N and Y188L.
