Product Description

Mechanism of Action

Clidinium bromide is an antimuscarinic agent that blocks M₁ and M₃ acetylcholine receptors on smooth muscle and secretory glands. It reduces GI motility, suppresses acid secretion and alleviates abdominal cramping. Poor CNS penetration reduces central effects.

Benefits and Advantages

Used in GI‑spasm studies, muscarinic‑receptor modelling, functional‑bowel‑disorder research, gastric‑secretion analysis and enteric‑nervous‑system signal modulation.

Side Effects and Risks

Risks include dry mouth, constipation, blurred vision, urinary retention and tachyarrhythmia. Handle as a peripherally acting anticholinergic.
