Product Description

Mechanism of action

This quaternary ammonium salt of benactyzine does not readily cross the bloodbrain barrier, conferring predominantly peripheral anticholinergic activity. It blocks muscarinic receptors in smooth muscle and secretory glands, reducing spasms and secretions without pronounced CNS effects.

Benefits and advantages

Used in peripheralautonomic research, smoothmuscle contractility studies, antispasmodic development and models distinguishing central vs peripheral muscarinic blockade.

Side effects and risks

Risks include tachycardia, constipation, urinary retention and xerostomia. Handle as a potent peripheral antimuscarinic.

Only GMP materials will be supplied, logistics all according to GDP.
