Mechanism of action
Arotinolol is a nonselective adrenergic receptor antagonist with additional weak blocking activity and partial intrinsic sympathomimetic activity. It reduces heart rate, myocardial oxygen demand, and peripheral resistance while lightly stimulating receptors.
