Mechanism of Action
Demethyl chlortetracycline is a tetracycline derivative that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by blocking the 30S ribosomal Asite. Structural modifications alter its activity spectrum, transport across membranes and resistance profiles relative to parent tetracyclines.
