Mechanism of Action
Demecyclocycline is a tetracyclineclass antibiotic that binds the 30S ribosomal subunit, blocking aminoacyltRNA attachment and thereby inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis. It also inhibits antidiuretic hormone (ADH) signalling in renal collecting ducts, making it useful in SIADH research.
