Product Description

Mechanism of Action

Diphenylcyclopropenone (DPCP) is a potent topical contact sensitizer that induces a type IV (delayed) hypersensitivity reaction. It forms haptenprotein complexes in the skin, which are processed by antigenpresenting cells and presented to Tlymphocytes, triggering a robust cellmediated immune response. This controlled immune activation can redirect autoimmune and inflammatory activity within the hair follicle microenvironment.

Benefits and Advantages

Used in alopecia areata research, contacthypersensitivity modelling, cutaneous immunology studies, Tcell activation assays, and topical immunotherapy mechanism investigations.

Side Effects and Risks

Risks include severe local dermatitis, blistering, hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation, lymphadenopathy and rare systemic reactions. Handle with strong sensitizer precautions and appropriate dermal protection.

Only GMP materials will be supplied, logistics all according to GDP.
