Product Description

Mechanism of Action

Dobetason propionate is an ultra‑potent topical corticosteroid (class I) that binds cytosolic glucocorticoid receptors (GR), inhibiting NF‑κB, AP‑1 and pro‑inflammatory cytokine transcription. It reduces vasodilation, edema formation, leukocyte migration and epidermal hyperproliferation. Esterification increases dermal penetration, potency and duration of receptor occupancy.

Benefits and Advantages

Used in severe‑psoriasis modelling, dermal‑inflammation research, GR‑receptor signalling assays, keratinocyte‑proliferation inhibition studies and high‑potency corticosteroid SAR analyses.

Side Effects and Risks

Risks include significant skin atrophy, telangiectasia, striae, HPA‑axis suppression, periorificial dermatitis and systemic absorption with prolonged use. Handle with ultra‑potent topical‑steroid precautions.
