Mechanism of Action
Corticosterone base is the primary glucocorticoid in many nonhuman vertebrates. It diffuses into cells and binds cytosolic glucocorticoid receptors, initiating transcriptional suppression of inflammatory genes and upregulation of metabolic, antistress and gluconeogenic pathways.
