Cloxacillin sodium is the rapidly absorbed salt form of cloxacillin. Mechanism identical: inhibition of bacterial cell‑wall crosslinking through PBP binding, resistant to penicillinase‑producing *Staphylococcus* strains.

Used in gram‑positive susceptibility studies, β‑lactamase‑resistant antibiotic modelling, PBP‑affinity assays and staphylococcal‑infection research.
Side Effects and Risks
Risks include allergic reactions, hepatic injury, GI discomfort and rare blood‑dyscrasias. Handle following β‑lactam handling protocols.
