Product Description
Mechanism of Action
Ceftriaxone is a thirdgeneration cephalosporin with long halflife and broad activity against gramnegative and grampositive pathogens. It binds PBPs and disrupts cellwall synthesis. Its strong CNS penetration makes it a primary agent in meningitis models. High protein binding contributes to sustained serum levels.
Benefits and Advantages
Used extensively in CNSinfection modelling, sepsis research, PBPselectivity studies, lactam PK/PD evaluations, neonatal infection models and resistancemechanism investigations. A global reference drug for extendedspectrum cephalosporins.
Side Effects and Risks
Risks include biliary sludge, hypersensitivity, rare haemolysis, GI upset and selection of resistant strains. Handle with strict antimicrobial precautions.
Only GMP materials will be supplied, logistics all according to GDP.
