Mechanism of Action
Droxidopa (Lthreo3,4dihydroxyphenylserine) is a synthetic amino acid precursor of norepinephrine. It is converted to norepinephrine by aromatic Lamino acid decarboxylase (AADC), increasing sympathetic neurotransmission. This boosts peripheral vascular tone and improves baroreflexmediated bloodpressure regulation.

Side Effects and Risks
