Product Description
Mechanism of Action
Domperidone is a peripherally selective dopamine D/D receptor antagonist that enhances gastrointestinal motility and increases loweresophageal sphincter tone by blocking dopaminemediated inhibition of acetylcholine release. It also raises prolactin levels via pituitary D blockade but minimally crosses the bloodbrain barrier.
Benefits and Advantages
Used in GI motility research, Dpathway signalling studies, prokinetic mechanism assays, and endocrineprolactin axis investigations.
Side Effects and Risks
Risks include QT prolongation, ventricular arrhythmias, hyperprolactinemia, gynecomastia and GI cramps. Handle with dopamineantagonist precautions.
Only GMP materials will be supplied, logistics all according to GDP.
