Product Description

Mechanism of Action

Diatrizoic acid is the parent iodinecontaining structure used to synthesize watersoluble ionic contrast agents such as diatrizoate salts. It enhances radiopacity due to its triiodinated aromatic ring system and provides a foundation for modifying solubility and osmolality in contrastagent development.

Benefits and Advantages

Used in contrastagent synthesis, iodinedensity research, radiopacity modelling, and pharmaceuticalsalt formulation studies.

Side Effects and Risks

Risks include irritation, organ toxicity at high concentrations and allergic sensitivity. Handle as a radiopaquechemical precursor.

Only GMP materials will be supplied, logistics all according to GDP.
