Product Description
Mechanism of Action
Dehydropregnenolone acetate is a stabilized ester of pregnenolone, a neuroactive steroid precursor involved in synthesis of progesterone, glucocorticoids, mineralocorticoids and androgens. It modulates NMDA, GABAA and sigma1 receptors while affecting neuroinflammation and mitochondrial signalling pathways. Esterification enhances stability and controlled release.
Benefits and Advantages
Used in neurosteroidpathway modelling, pregnenoloneconversion studies, neuroinflammation assays, neurocognitive research and steroidogenic enzyme analysis.
Side Effects and Risks
Risks include endocrine disruption, sedation or stimulation (dosedependent), GI irritation and hormonal imbalance. Handle with neurosteroidcompound precautions.
Only GMP materials will be supplied, logistics all according to GDP.
