Mechanism of action

Bromisoval (bromoisovaleric acid derivative) is a sedative–hypnotic compound acting through enhancement of GABAergic signalling and depression of CNS neuronal activity. It modulates inhibitory neurotransmission and reduces cortical excitability.

Benefits and advantages

Used in sleep‑research models, GABA‑modulator studies, CNS‑depression assays, sedative‑comparison experiments and behavioural neuroscience involving hypnotic agents.

Side effects and risks
