Mechanism of action
Bezlotoxumab is a fully human monoclonal antibody that binds and neutralises *Clostridioides difficile* toxin B. It prevents toxinmediated cell rounding, cytoskeletal disruption and epithelial damage by blocking toxin interaction with hostcell receptors. Its mechanism targets recurrence rather than acute infection control.
