ANTIPYRINE
Apamin is a neurotoxic peptide from bee venom that selectively blocks smallconductance calciumactivated potassium channels. It is studied in neuroscience for its modulatory effects. Risks include neurotoxicity, allergic reactions, and systemic symptoms following exposure. Only GMP materials will be supplied, logistics all according to GDP.

Product Description
Mechanism of action
Antipyrine is a classical pyrazolone analgesic and antipyretic that exerts its effect by reversible inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis via central COX suppression. It displays excellent oral absorption and penetrates biological membranes efficiently. Antipyrine is particularly notable for its predictable hepatic metabolism, making it a goldstandard probe substrate for cytochrome P450mediated clearance.
Benefits and advantages
Widely used in hepatic enzyme profiling, pharmacokinetic modelling, drugdrug interaction studies, and assessment of hepatic metabolic capacity. Its reliable clearance profile makes it a benchmark compound in microsomal metabolic activity tests.
Side effects and risks
Overexposure may cause dizziness, rash, blood dyscrasias, or hepatotoxicity. Due to its metabolic liability, strict laboratory handling is required.
Only GMP materials will be supplied, logistics all according to GDP.
