Product Description

Mechanism of Action

Glibenclamide (glyburide) is a sulfonylurea that closes ATP-sensitive potassium (KATP) channels on pancreatic beta cells, triggering depolarization, calcium influx and insulin release.

Benefits and Advantages

Used in KATP-channel studies, insulin-secretion assays, metabolic disorder research and pancreatic beta-cell modelling.

Side Effects and Risks

Hypoglycemia, weight gain and rare hematologic reactions.
