Product Description

Mechanism of Action

Gabexate is a synthetic serine‑protease inhibitor active against trypsin, kallikrein, plasmin and thrombin. By blocking proteolytic cascades, it attenuates coagulation, complement activation and inflammatory mediator release, especially in pancreatic and vascular systems.

Benefits and Advantages

Used in acute pancreatitis models, coagulation‑cascade modulation studies, protease‑inhibition assays and inflammatory mediator research.

Side Effects and Risks

Risks include hypotension, thrombophlebitis, hypersensitivity reactions and potential bleeding. Handle with serine‑protease inhibitor precautions and monitoring of coagulation parameters.
