Mechanism of Action

Eupaverine is a vasodilatory and smooth‑muscle relaxant derived from isoquinoline alkaloids. It inhibits phosphodiesterase and reduces intracellular Ca²⁺, producing relaxation of vascular, biliary and urinary smooth muscle.

Benefits and Advantages

Used in smooth‑muscle pharmacology, PDE‑modulation studies, vasodilation modelling, and antispasmodic drug assays.

Side Effects and Risks
