Product Description

Mechanism of Action

Etozoline is a diuretic that acts mainly by inhibiting sodium reabsorption in the distal renal tubules. It increases urinary excretion of sodium and chloride, reducing plasma volume and improving edema states. Its structure is distinct from thiazides but exhibits similar functional effects.

Benefits and Advantages

Used in renal‑transport modelling, diuretic‑mechanism research, electrolyte‑balance studies, and nephron‑segment pharmacology.

Side Effects and Risks

Risks include electrolyte imbalance (hypokalemia, hyponatremia), dizziness, GI upset and hypotension. Handle with diuretic‑class precautions.
