Product Description
Mechanism of Action
Erythropoietin (EPO) is a glycoprotein hormone that binds the erythropoietin receptor (EPOR) on erythroid progenitor cells, activating JAK2STAT5 signalling and promoting survival, proliferation and differentiation into mature red blood cells. It also influences iron metabolism, angiogenesis and cellular hypoxia responses.
Benefits and Advantages
Used in hematopoiesismodelling studies, hypoxiasignalling research, EPORpathway assays, biomanufacturing of recombinant proteins and erythroidlineage development work.
Side Effects and Risks
Risks include hypertension, thrombosis, pure redcell aplasia (rare), flulike symptoms and increased blood viscosity. Handle with growthfactor hormone precautions.
Only GMP materials will be supplied, logistics all according to GDP.
