Product Description

Mechanism of Action

Ergotidine is a hydrogenated ergot alkaloid with dopaminergic and adrenergic receptor activity. Hydrogenation reduces some vasoconstrictive properties while preserving complex receptor interactions that influence vascular tone and neuroendocrine signalling.

Benefits and Advantages

Used in comparative ergotalkaloid pharmacology, receptorselectivity profiling, cerebrovasculartone modelling, and dopaminergic/adrenergic pathway research.

Side Effects and Risks

Risks include residual vasospasm, GI upset, headache and potential ergotrelated toxicity at high exposures. Handle with standard ergotalkaloid precautions.

Only GMP materials will be supplied, logistics all according to GDP.
