Mechanism of Action
Eperisone hydrochloride is a centrally acting skeletal muscle relaxant that reduces and motor neuron excitability, enhances spinal inhibitory pathways and induces peripheral vasodilation. It also reduces Ca²⁺ influx in smooth and skeletal muscle.
Benefits and Advantages
Used in neuromusculartransmission research, musclespasm modelling, Cachannel modulation studies, and musclerelaxant SAR assays.
Side Effects and Risks
Risks include dizziness, hypotension, muscle weakness, nausea and rare hepatotoxicity. Handle with musclerelaxant precautions.
