Product Description

Mechanism of Action

Enoxacin gluconate is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, blocking supercoiling, replication and transcription of bacterial DNA. The gluconate form improves solubility.

Benefits and Advantages

Used in quinolone‑mechanism research, DNA‑gyrase assays, antimicrobial‑resistance modelling, and bacterial DNA‑topology studies.

Side Effects and Risks

Risks include tendon toxicity, CNS effects, QT prolongation, photosensitivity and dysglycemia. Handle with fluoroquinolone precautions.
