Product Description

Mechanism of Action

Dihydroartemisinin (DHA) is the active metabolite of all artemisinin derivatives. It generates reactive oxygen species through hemeiron cleavage of its endoperoxide bridge, producing toxic radicals that damage malarial parasite proteins and membranes. It is fastacting with potent antimalarial activity against multiple life stages.

Benefits and Advantages

Used in malariaparasite research, ROSmediated toxicity modelling, endoperoxideactivation assays, drugresistance studies and pharmacodynamic research on Plasmodium species.

Side Effects and Risks

Risks include neurotoxicity at high doses, hematologic suppression, embryofetal risk, GI symptoms and hypersensitivity reactions. Handle with antimalarialcompound precautions.

Only GMP materials will be supplied, logistics all according to GDP.
