Product Description
Mechanism of Action
Dicloxacillin sodium is a semisynthetic isoxazolyl penicillin that inhibits bacterial cellwall crosslinking by irreversibly binding PBPs. Its steric configuration confers resistance to staphylococcal lactamases. It is highly active against MSSA and other grampositive organisms.
Benefits and Advantages
Used in penicillinderivative SAR studies, grampositive antimicrobial modelling, lactamaseresistance research, and PBPcomplexformation assays.
Side Effects and Risks
Risks include allergic reactions (including anaphylaxis), hepatotoxicity, diarrhea, and rare interstitial nephritis. Handle under lactam antibiotic containment protocols.
Only GMP materials will be supplied, logistics all according to GDP.
