Product Description

Mechanism of Action

Cycloserine is a broadspectrum antibiotic that inhibits two critical enzymes in bacterial cellwall synthesis: alanine racemase and Dalanine:Dalanine ligase. By blocking Dalanine production and incorporation, it disrupts peptidoglycan assembly and bacterial viability.

Benefits and Advantages

Used in tuberculosispathway research, alanineracemase enzyme studies, cellwall biosynthesis modelling, and antimicrobial resistance assays.

Side Effects and Risks

Risks include neurotoxicity (seizures, psychosis), peripheral neuropathy, headache and hepatic stress. Handle with CNSactive antimicrobial precautions.

Only GMP materials will be supplied, logistics all according to GDP.
