Mechanism of Action
Chloraminophenamide is an aromatic amide‑based antiseptic with oxidative antimicrobial activity. It releases reactive chlorine species that attack microbial membranes, proteins and enzymes. Its activity is strongest against gram‑positive bacteria and some fungi.

Used in microbiology disinfection studies, oxidative‑biocide SAR research, membrane‑permeabilisation assays, and evaluation of chlorinated aromatic structures for antiseptic development.
Side Effects and Risks
Risks include irritation, oxidative burns at high concentrations, mucosal damage and environmental reactivity. Handle with care as an oxidizing antimicrobial.
