Product Description

Mechanism of Action

Ceftazidine sodium carbonate is a salt form of ceftazidime designed to enhance solubility and solution stability. The active moiety inhibits PBPs, halting peptidoglycan crosslinking and promoting bacterial lysis. Particularly effective against nonfermenting gramnegatives.

Benefits and Advantages

Used in advanced cephalosporin formulation research, stability studies, antipseudomonal susceptibility testing, lactamase resistance modelling and highsolubility PK evaluation.

Side Effects and Risks

Risks include hypersensitivity, infusion reactions, GI upset, and CNS excitation/seizures in highdose settings. Use full antimicrobial handling precautions.

Only GMP materials will be supplied, logistics all according to GDP.
