Product Description
Mechanism of action
Bucillamine is a thiolcontaining cysteine derivative with strong antioxidant and immunomodulatory properties. It donates thiol groups, enhances glutathione recycling, scavenges reactive oxygen species and modulates inflammatory signalling pathways. It also acts as a diseasemodifying antirheumatic agent (DMARD).

Used in oxidativestress studies, glutathionemetabolism research, redoxbiology modelling, autoimmunedisease investigations, rheumatology drugdevelopment and thiolreactivity assays.
Side effects and risks
Risks include rash, proteinuria, agranulocytosis, hepatic enzyme changes and hypersensitivity reactions. Handle under thiolreactivecompound safety controls.
