Product Description

Mechanism of action

Bifemelane is a cerebral-activating agent acting through modulation of noradrenergic and cholinergic neurotransmission. It inhibits phosphodiesterase, elevates cAMP levels, enhances cerebral blood flow, and interacts with -adrenergic receptors. It may also influence serotonin turnover and exhibit neuroprotective antioxidant activity.

Benefits and advantages

Used in cognitive-function research, cerebral-metabolism studies, neuroprotection modelling, vascularneuronal signalling investigations and PDE-inhibitor comparative profiling. Valuable in ageing and dementia-related pathway studies.

Side effects and risks

Risks include mild CNS stimulation, headache, GI discomfort, insomnia and rare arrhythmias. Handle as a CNS-active compound.

Only GMP materials will be supplied, logistics all according to GDP.
