Desoxypeganine (norharmane derivative) is a carboline alkaloid that inhibits acetylcholinesterase, MAOA, and modulates nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. It enhances cholinergic signalling, influences monoamine pathways and shows neuroprotective properties in various models.
