Difluprednate is an ultra‑potent difluorinated corticosteroid with high lipid solubility and strong GR affinity. It suppresses ocular and systemic inflammation by inhibiting phospholipase A₂, reducing prostaglandin/leukotriene synthesis, and blocking NF‑κB‑mediated transcription. It is widely used in ocular inflammatory research.
