Mechanism of action
Azlocillin is an extended‑spectrum ureidopenicillin that binds to penicillin‑binding proteins (PBPs), inhibiting cross‑linking of peptidoglycan and disrupting bacterial cell‑wall synthesis. It exhibits strong activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa and many Gram‑negative bacilli.
