Mechanism of Action

Ganciclovir is a nucleoside analogue antiviral that undergoes phosphorylation by viral kinases and inhibits viral DNA polymerase, causing chain termination and halting replication of CMV and other herpesviruses.

Benefits and Advantages

Used in DNA-polymerase inhibition studies, CMV replication research, antiviral resistance modelling and nucleoside analogue SAR assays.

Side Effects and Risks

Myelosuppression, nephrotoxicity and reproductive risks. Handle with antiviral-cytotoxic precautions.

Only GMP materials will be supplied, logistics all according to GDP.
