Mechanism of Action
Gallamine triethiodide is a nondepolarizing neuromuscular blocker that competitively inhibits nicotinic acetylcholine receptors at the neuromuscular junction, preventing acetylcholine-induced depolarization and causing skeletal-muscle paralysis.

Used in neuromuscular-blockade studies, receptor-competition assays, ion-channel research and anesthesia modelling.
Side Effects and Risks
Risks include respiratory paralysis, hypotension and vagolytic effects. Handle with strict neuromuscular-blocker precautions.
