Mechanism of Action
Fluvoxamine maleate is a selective serotonin‑reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) with additional sigma‑1 receptor agonist activity. It inhibits the serotonin transporter (SERT), increasing extracellular serotonin, and modulates intracellular stress‑response signalling via σ1R.
