Product Description

Mechanism of Action

Florfenicol is a synthetic chloramphenicol analogue that binds the 50S ribosomal subunit, inhibiting peptidyl transferase and halting bacterial protein synthesis. It avoids aplastic‑anemia risk associated with chloramphenicol.

Benefits and Advantages

Used in veterinary antimicrobial studies, ribosomal‑inhibition modelling and resistance‑mechanism evaluation.

Side Effects and Risks

Possible anorexia, diarrhea and hematologic suppression.
