Product Description

Mechanism of Action

Etofylline clofibrate is a combined molecule of etofylline (bronchodilator) and clofibrate (PPAR‑α activator). The conjugate allows simultaneous modulation of lipid metabolism and improvement of respiratory airflow. Upon hydrolysis, each component exerts its own pharmacodynamic actions.

Benefits and Advantages

Used in dual‑mechanism prodrug research, PPAR‑α pathway assays, bronchodilation modelling, and lipid‑regulation studies.

Side Effects and Risks

Risks include tachycardia, hepatotoxicity, GI upset and hypersensitivity. Handle with fibrate‑xanthine dual‑agent precautions.
