Mechanism of Action
Etofenamate is a nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drug (NSAID) belonging to the flufenamicacid family. It inhibits cyclooxygenase (COX1 and COX2), decreasing prostaglandin synthesis involved in inflammation and pain. Its lipophilic ester form penetrates skin efficiently, making it useful in topicaldelivery research.
