Mechanism of Action
Etanercept is a fusion protein composed of the TNF receptor p75 linked to the Fc portion of IgG1. It binds soluble TNF‑α and TNF‑β, preventing their interaction with cell‑surface receptors and inhibiting downstream NF‑κB–mediated inflammatory signalling. This reduces cytokine‑driven inflammation in autoimmune‑disease models.
