Product Description
Mechanism of Action
Entecavir is a potent guanosine nucleoside analogue with high affinity for HBV DNA polymerase. It inhibits priming, reverse transcription of pregenomic RNA and synthesis of the positive DNA strand. It incorporates into viral DNA, causing chain termination. Exhibits strong activity against wildtype and lamivudineresistant HBV.
Benefits and Advantages
Used in HBV replicationpathway research, reversetranscriptase inhibition assays, nucleosideanalogue SAR studies, and viralDNA polymerization modelling.
Side Effects and Risks
Risks include lactic acidosis, hepatomegaly with steatosis, headache, fatigue and rebound hepatitis upon withdrawal. Handle with antiviralnucleoside precautions.
Only GMP materials will be supplied, logistics all according to GDP.
