Product Description

Mechanism of Action

Efonidipine is a dual L‑type and T‑type calcium-channel blocker that reduces vascular smooth‑muscle tone and modulates cardiac conduction. Inhibition of T‑type channels provides additional effects on nodal tissue and renal hemodynamics, making it a unique dihydropyridine derivative.

Benefits and Advantages

Used in calcium‑channel pharmacology, vascular‑tone modelling, cardiac conduction studies, and renal‑blood‑flow research.

Side Effects and Risks

Risks include hypotension, flushing, ankle edema, tachycardia and gingival hyperplasia. Handle with calcium‑channel‑blocker precautions.
