Product Description

Mechanism of Action

Dyphylline is a xanthine bronchodilator that increases intracellular cAMP by inhibiting phosphodiesterase. It relaxes bronchial smooth muscle but with significantly reduced CNS and cardiac stimulation compared with theophylline due to structural modifications that limit adenosine‑receptor antagonism.

Benefits and Advantages

Used in airway‑reactivity modelling, PDE‑inhibition studies, bronchodilator SAR research, and respiratory‑pharmacology assays.

Side Effects and Risks

Risks include mild tachycardia, GI upset, restlessness and tremor. Handle with xanthine‑derivative precautions.
