Product Description
Mechanism of Action
Diflunisal is a salicylicacid derivative NSAID that noncompetitively inhibits cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX1 and COX2). This decreases prostaglandin synthesis, reducing inflammation, pain and fever. Its difluorophenyl ring confers longer halflife and reduced CNS penetration compared to aspirin.

Side Effects and Risks
Risks include GI irritation, renal stress, bleeding tendency, hypersensitivity, hepatotoxicity and fluid retention. Handle with NSAIDclass safety procedures.
